Abstract

|
Although it is one of the most common medical complications in Obstetrics, considerable controversy remains as to the best methods for its detection and management. The pathophysiology responsible for much of the perinatal morbidity and mortality that characterizes the pregnancies is poorly understood. This reports will examine some of the most important and controversial problems confronting the clinician challenged by diabetes in pregnancy. Three mothers of diabetes mellitus in pregnancy are presented and brief review of literature is added.
